The right stack from day one.

The tools you choose in month one shape the decisions you can make in year three. Getting the stack right the first time is cheaper than rebuilding it later.

What it is

Technology decisions made under pressure, without experience, produce stacks that are either too thin to scale or too complex to operate. We have seen both. The cost of fixing either in year two is always higher than getting it right in year one.

What we cover
CRM & Sales
Customer Relationship Management
Choosing and configuring the CRM that fits your sales process, your team size, and your budget. Setup, data structure, pipeline stages, and integration with your email and calendar. The difference between a CRM that gets used and one that does not is almost always in how well it was set up at the start.
Communication
Email & Team Collaboration
Business email on your own domain, team communication tools, shared inbox setup, and the configuration that keeps your team aligned without drowning in notifications. Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 chosen and configured for your team's actual working style.
Operations
Project & Task Management
The operational backbone of a functioning business. We evaluate your workflow, your team's habits, and your output type and recommend the tool that will actually get used rather than the one that has the most impressive feature list. Then we set it up correctly from the start.
Finance
Accounting & Invoicing
Connecting your bank account, setting up your chart of accounts, configuring your invoicing workflow, and ensuring your accounting software talks to the rest of your stack. Clean financial data from month one is worth far more than a retroactive cleanup before your first tax filing.
Automation
Integrations & Workflows
Connecting your tools so data flows between them automatically rather than requiring manual transfer. Zapier and Make automations that eliminate the repetitive data-moving tasks that waste hours per week. We identify the highest-value automation opportunities first and build from there.
Security
Access, Passwords & Backup
Password manager deployment, two-factor authentication setup, role-based access controls, and automated backup verification for critical business data. Security infrastructure established before it is needed, not installed reactively after an incident.

How we approach the stack.

Technology decisions feel low-stakes when you are small. They are not. Every tool you adopt creates a data structure, an integration surface, and a migration cost if you switch later. These principles guide every recommendation we make.

I
Simple beats clever
The best tool for a first-year business is the one that solves the problem with the least complexity and the widest adoption. A tool your team does not use is not better than no tool at all. We never recommend sophistication for its own sake.
II
Integration is a first-class requirement
A tool that does not talk to the rest of your stack creates manual transfer work and data silos. Every recommendation we make is evaluated for its integration surface before its feature list. A slightly less capable tool that integrates natively is almost always better than a best-in-class tool that requires custom work to connect.
III
You own the accounts
Every account is created under your name and your email. We are never a middleman between you and your tools. If our engagement ends tomorrow, you have full access to everything and owe nothing to anyone to keep it running.
IV
Document as you go
Every configuration decision is documented so that the rationale is captured and the setup can be reproduced or handed to someone new without a knowledge transfer session. Technology that only one person understands is a single point of failure.

The cost of getting it wrong.

Technology mistakes made in year one tend to compound. What starts as the wrong CRM or a mismatched invoicing tool becomes a migration project at the worst possible time. These are the specific problems we prevent.

Customer data scattered across three disconnected tools with no single source of truth
An accounting setup that requires a cleanup before the first tax filing
A CRM nobody actually uses because it was set up wrong from the start
Software subscriptions accumulating for tools that duplicate each other
A security incident caused by shared passwords and no two-factor authentication
A platform migration in year two because the year-one choice hit a ceiling
Manual data transfer between tools that should be connected automatically

Let's build
something heavy.
